“the more I think about it, the more it hits me..

it is as if you did not leave but just turned up to be

..an ophthalmologist at St. Lucy’s

 ..a neuro-oncologist at Brown

..and a lowly orthopod at Jesus Nazarene

..three doctors bearing your name shall practice medicine in your honor.”

“My love for orthopædic surgery dates back -way back in high school, in my freshman year when I broke my left forearm and got myself firsthand experience what it was like to be an orthopædic patient. No, I don’t have metal plates or bakal in me so I did not get to be a binakalan strictly speaking (Almost!). The closed reduction I could bear but the cast tortured me no end when my forearm got itchy. As if that was not enough torture already, four weeks of extra poundage was just too much!! When I finally had the cast out it was like Nirvana ...scratching madness!!”
